What DSPTready does

DSPTready is a self-serve web tool that guides small NHS-connected organisations through their annual DSPT submission. It replaces the ad hoc spreadsheet-and-email approach with a structured workflow, gap tracking, and plain-English evidence guidance.

Who it's for

Registered managers at small care homes (20-60 beds), superintendent pharmacists and pharmacy owners, domiciliary care agency managers, and GP practice managers — anyone personally responsible for DSPT compliance alongside day-to-day operational duties.

Why it exists

Over 21,500 Category 3 and Category 4 organisations in England must complete the DSPT every year. Most have no dedicated IT or compliance team. The options are: struggle through alone (3-5 months of scattered effort), pay a consultant £500-£2,000 per submission, or use free but limited NHS resources. There's no affordable, guided tool that builds year-on-year capability.
